通常はブランドが展示会や量産前の検証に使うサンプル。GarageUWも試作は常に作っています。
新しい生地にミシンの運針や縫い方を検証したり、使う糸を試したりする為縫ったあとに解くこともあるので試作というよりも探求のような意味合いです。縫製で学んだ事を守るのも大事ですが、やるべき事が明確ならば自分なりの工夫や発想でやってみたいという考えもあります。
試作したものは既製品ではないので商品にはしませんが廃棄するのは意向に沿わないので普通に着れるものを仕立てています。またサンプルだからと誰かに譲渡するのはTheGaragのお客様の行動を踏みにじる行為に値すると考えています。そうなると結局処遇は私のワードローブになっています。ただ自らモニターとなることで使ううち変化する事を知れるというのは物作りに取り組む基本姿勢だと考えております。
しかし次第にその数が増え着ないものが溢れてきた事と、生地残反の関係で自分が着れないサイズもある事などがあり、商品としてリペアしてGarageUW ReUSEとして販売させて頂く事に致しました。
試作型ならではの変化のある生地付属使い、アトリエ感あるステッチで、デザイン、生地は既製品と全く同じものになりますのでお勧めです。
